We read this article about a Documentary Photographer named Graciela Iturbide. From the article I thought it was interesting how she began photograph because her daughter died. I, also, thought it was really interesting how she developed her theme though taking photos of the Seris Indians and how she became captivated with her country and the culture of the communities and how she immersed herself in legends and festivities within the individual communities. From the article it sounds like she really immersed herself with the people, like how she had to drink and dance with the Seris because they would always dance and drink. I also thought it was really interesting that she said that she doesn’t think that her photographs can actually change the world, but rather she take the photos because she wants to. I though that was really interesting and different and I like how she said that her photos always deal with the dignified aspects of humanity.
