Not Really Photography…

This person doesn’t really have anything to do with photography, well he has nothing to do with photography. I found Ed Stockham on YouTube from another YouTuber that I really enjoy; he’s more of an animator/video maker/cartooner/ blogger. I really like his work because it’s really imaginative and fun and sometimes really heartfelt. I just really really wanted to share this seemingly really cool person; things just aren’t as fun when you keep them to yourself…..

So, here is:

And My Favorite Videos, GreystonesĀ and fingers & thumbs.

Cinemagraphs

I was on Stumble Upon, again, and I came across these things called cinemagraphs. From what I’ve gathered a cinemagraph is a gif file of a picture with something that moves. So it’s like a picture/movie/gif thing. They are really cool looking and I couldn’t seem to figure out how they worked so I, of course, googled it; and I found a tutorial. Apparently what you do is: take a video, upload it into CS5, pick the frame/frames you want, and then make specific layer play in a loop… Or something along those lines. I’m really tempted to try and make one, but I’m pretty busy at the moment so maybe sometime in the near future…

P.S. Here’s the link to the Cinemagraph Tutorial I found and a link to some Cinemagraph Examples.

Dear Photograph…

I was on Stumble Upon the other day and it took me to a website called Dear Photograph. The website is a collection of pictures taken of old pictures where the original old picture was taken and then who ever submitted the picture writes under it starting with the words Dear Photograph. I wanted to share this website because I think it’s a really cool idea and some of the pictures and captions are just so heartfelt…

Today…

So Today I’m trying to work on my Narrative project, I had a really good idea until I woke up this morning and realized that I couldn’t do it…. Ahh dilemmas… So I’m trying to figure out what to do for my project, I’m kind of hoping to see if maybe I can segue the project into teaching myself how to make a stop motion video.. maybe, hopefully… but sadly I can’t do anything until I’ve figured out my idea šŸ˜¦

Brownies!

When I thought about my Family Recipe Project I didn’t really know what to do until I thought about the brownies I’d made with my cousin about a week before. My little cousin’s about 5 and she’d never eaten the extra brownie mix before and it meant a lot for me to get to share that with her since it’s something that my aunt shared with me. I’m not sure if brownies specifically are my most memorable recipe, but I do think of them as almost a symbol for baking which is something my family does often when we’re together. The brownies I made were from a box mix, like most things I bake excluding chocolateĀ chip cookies…
